Welcome to kidcity!

Welcome to kidcity! We partner with parents in laying the spiritual foundation for children to be life-long followers of Jesus Christ. We are committed to providing a safe and fun environment so children can grow and encounter a loving God! Adults, join us in the auditorium for a service designed for you while we engage your kids in an hour designed just for them! To get started, come to the kidcity desk by Door 3 where a smiling face will welcome you and get your kids checked-in. Children's programming is available at the 9:00 & 10:30 Sunday Service for children 6 weeks - 5th grade.

Serve with us this summer!
Have you wondered what serving in kidcity looks like, come try it out! This summer we are asking new people to serve in kidcity 3 times throughout the summer at one of the Sunday services. Let us know if you’d prefer serving with babies or older kiddos – we need help with all the age groups and would love to have you serve in this way.

6 Weeks - 24 Months

Devoted team members care for your child and begin instilling the concepts of trust. We have volunteers who will lovingly care for your child.
"Jesus loves you and knows you by name" is conveyed through words and actions.

Two Years - Five Years Old

Kids participate in a Bible Story, worship songs, coloring and/or craft, and get their wiggles out in the gym as they play on slides and climbing toys. Our curriculum, First Look, is based on one of three simple, but powerful, truths. The entire curriculum is constructed to meet your preschoolers where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Through age appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate to Kindergarten they know these three basic truths.

-God Made Me

-God Loves Me

-Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever

Elementary (K-3rd Grade)

Kids start in the large group room with interactive worship, a Bible Story, and response time where they can respond to the lesson they just heard in their own way with the "Go Deep" take-home page they are given. For the last 15 to 20 minutes, kids move to their small group rooms which are designated by grade and will be picked up in these rooms. Our curriculum theme changes every month making it exciting and fun for our kids!

K-3rd Weekend Series:: It’s a Whatsit! What’s a Whatsit? Whatever you want it to be! During the “It’s a Whatsit” series, a new “Whatsit” will be revealed each week. To the average person, the Whatsit might look like an everyday household item, but toss in a little bit of imagination and the Whatsit can become a sword, an apple, a giant man-eating sloth, or just about anything you want it to be. Kids will be challenged to use the Whatsit in a dozen different and creative ways to make the earliest stories in the Bible come alive.

Preteen (4th-5th Grade)

Our 4th and 5th graders meet in the Warehouse (Student Center) located at the back of the gym. They spend time hanging out playing carpet ball, foosball and other fun games and then experience worship, a large group lesson, and small group time. We want kids to build relationships with God and with friends.  This program is geared towards their age group as students learn how to grow their faith, be more confident, and become disciples of Jesus.  Some of the topics we’ll cover this year include friendships, worship, attributes of God, and more!  See our current series below.  Come hang  out with us this weekend – you won’t want to miss it!

Preteen Weekend Series :: Set Apart

This weekend we are starting a new series called Set Apart. In this series, we'll consider how Christians are set apart by God to live holy lives that are distinct from the world. This series will help to set your preteens up for a different kind of school year as they set apart their time, their stuff, and their bodies as a "living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God."

Your child's safety is very important to us. Every weekend, your child is assigned a random three-digit alpha-numeric code on their name tag and your security receipt that you will use to pick-up your child from kidcity. Should we need you during the service, we will send you a quick text message!

Each weekend, your kids are joined by amazing volunteers that love God and want to hang out with your kiddos. Each volunteer has met with a staff member, gone through training, and is screened with a background check.

Christ Community Church believes that children are a gift from God. Child dedication is a wonderful tradition where we get to recognize and celebrate parents publicly declaring their commitment to teach their kids the importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our next Child Dedication weekend will be October 29th/30th, sign ups will open in August.   If you have any questions about Child Dedication, contact Sam at .

EXPECTATIONS OF PARENTS:

  • At least one or both of the parents have made a commitment to having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We recognize that there are many families in which only one parent has come to faith and the spouse that is not yet a believer would like to participate—that is okay.
  • Parent(s) align with Christ Community’s beliefs and values.
  • Parents commit to modeling personal purity and to lead by example in matters of faith and conduct. That means living a life of sexual purity according to God's standards—avoiding pre-marital sexual relations and living together before marriage. Therefore, parents that are living together and are not married cannot participate in the dedication ceremony.
