Out of Darkness and into Light

Ancient Israel knew what it meant to wait. They’d been promised a Rescuer. And after years of brokenness and defiance, one moment changed everything. While humanity was waiting in the dark, Heaven was preparing a King who would call us out of darkness. Thousands of years later, we, too, know what it means to wait in darkness. Left to our own selves, we live in fear, isolation, pain, shame, and despair. But Jesus will not leave us here. This Christmas, celebrate with joy the birth of the King - the Light of the World - who will not leave us in the dark.

Extend Hope: An Advent Guide

This Advent devotional is a reflection guide that offers poems, prayers, and prompts to draw us back to the hope of Jesus. We encourage you to set aside some time each week to sit before the King of Kings, open your hands in humble adoration and readiness, and reflect on the prompts within this guide. May we lean in individually and collectively to experience all that the Lord has for us this Advent season as we actively hope in He who is our everlasting, our Prince of Peace!
