Treasure Hunters

Treasure Hunters is for students going into grades 4th-6th this coming fall. This is designed for students who have made a commitment to Christ and want to deepen their faith and understanding of God’s word through workshops, interactive teachings, and service projects.
See below for the list of available Workshops. We do our best to get each child into the workshops of their choice but unfortunately we can not guarantee this due to the popularity of certain workshops.

Interrogation (Tough Questions):

In this session, we will have a great time discussing some tough questions and issues that you will surely run into in the years to come.  We will discuss the topics of:  1) Who is Jesus?  2) Faith vs Evolution.  3) Why do bad things happen to good people?  4) What about other religions? Are these tough questions?  Yes!  But... we will do the best we can to break it down and get a better understanding of each topic.

Secret Code Language (sign language):

Would you like to learn how to sign a super cool worship song in sign language? Well, this is the class for you! Join us as we learn how to sign a worship song, play fun games, and learn some of our favorite words in sign language. If you took this class last year, don’t fret because this year will be a new song with new signs!

Evidence Analysis (science):

What can sand castles, slime and oobleck teach us about the Bible? Come find out in this workshop where we will investigate the Bible and God’s plan for us by doing some amazing science experiments.

Master Tool Kit (screen-free boredom busters):

Whether you want to be the most popular babysitter, the most fun KICs or VBS helper, or even just a super-cool-older cousin/brother/sister, this workshop is for you! You'll learn a plethora of boredom blasters, fun tricks, riddles, games, and activities to keep in your back pocket -- no screens required!

Magnifying the Lord (worship):

Do you like music? In this workshop, you will discover what God says about worship in His Word, the Bible!  You will be able to use your gifts and talents while learning actions to some awesome songs! You will also have the opportunity to sign up to help lead worship for Vacation Bible School if that's something you would like to do.

Short Story Artist (art):

Do you like to be creative?  In this workshop you will create unique art pieces while investigating parables to discover how God wants us to live our lives.

 Recreating the Scene (Drama)

Do you enjoy acting? Well, in this workshop we’ll learn all about acting and how to glorify God through it. We’ll practice a drama during the week and then perform it on Friday.
